Zofran Uses Zofran blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that may cause nausea and vomiting. Zofran is used to prevent nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.
How To Use Zofran Take Zofran exactly as directed on the package or as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. Take each dose with a full glass of water.
Take Zofran with milk, food, or an antacid to lessen stomach upset.
Never take more of this medication than is prescribed for you.
Zofran Side Effects This drug may cause following serious side effects : an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of your throat, swelling of your lips, tongue, or face, or hives), irregular heartbeats, or muscle cramps or uncontrollable movements. Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Zofran and talk to your doctor if you experience: headache, fatigue, drowsiness, or dizziness, anxiety or agitation, or diarrhea or constipation.
Zofran Precautions Tell you doctor if

Zofran should not be used without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or are planning a pregnancy. As it might passes into breast milk and may affect a nursing infant. Caution is advised when this product is used in the elderly since this group may be more sensitive to side effects. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Zofran Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of a Zofran overdose may include headache, temporary blindness, constipation, faintness, and heart problems. Zofran Notes Do not share Zofran with others. Zofran Missed Dose If you miss an Zofran dosage, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. Zofran Storage Store Zofran at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C) away from sunlight and moisture.
